I started shooting target archery when I was 9-years-old, in Ontario, Canada, thanks to the JOAD program, and run by Tom Mack of Trans Canada Archery. After about 3 years of shooting, and with the help of many people, but especially Klaus Klienschmidt, who taught me many things that help me to this day, I became a competitive shooter.
I competed in many tournaments over the years, and won 19 Canadian Nationals in various classes. In 1972 I was one of the first Canadians to shoot a compound bow in competition and I loved the technology. I shot for various US and Canadian bow companies for a few years.
In 1986 I moved from Canada to Phoenix, AZ, for more competition! (What a humbling experience!). As I am now over 50, I have been competing in the Masters class at NAA events, and have enjoyed great success in these and in the Senior Olympics.
I hope I have a chance to meet you at a Tournament or Trade Show in the near future.
